Jackson family who raised their Grandson Peter Martin Steen

I am having a problem finding information on my Great Grandfather, Peter Martin Steen. His father is Simon Steen. According to a photo that I have, Peter Martin was raised by his mother's parents, who's last name was Jackson and lived in the Canton, South Dakota.
