Centerville's first baby, 1883

In the Centerville centennia book they credit Forrest Crane as being the first baby born in the city. He is my great uncle, my grandmother's brother.
Forrest was married to an Elizabeth Ida Thomas in Centerville and they lived for thirty years in the Los Angeles area (Whittier, Long Beach) and he died in 1954. There is a small comment in the Journal, "Centerville's First Baby Boy is Dead," or some similar headline. Elizabeth lived much longer, passing away in 1970.
You mentioned the name Thomas in your post as someone you were looking for. There are Thomas descendants in this area, but none with that last name. Perhaps I can help locate some of these people.
