I posted info for you on the Norway genforum some time ago. Skotvold is the correct spelling though over the years it has been Skotvold, SkåttvåLLaNN, Schatteuold, Schatteuoll, Skottuold, Schotuold, and Schaatwold and probably even other spellings depending on the source.

There was an Ole Skotvold b. 1872 in the Centerville area. He would have been an O.L. Skotvold. Ole Larsson Skotvold.

Here he is on the 1880 census.

This Ole appears on the 1900 census in Turner County as well. I don't know if he is the Olaf who had the grain elevator referred to in the Centerville book.
