You can see a copy of the 1900 census at pilot.familysearch.org In 1900, Sioux Falls (city), Minnehaha Co., SD, HANSON: Olaus "Ole" HANSON, b. Mar. 1870, Norway, had been married 8 years, immigrated in 1882. Wf. Carrie [THOMPSON], b. Aug. 1872, SD, parents b. Norway, had three children, three living in 1900, Obert, Lillie, & Roy P. Obert C. (12 Apr. 1896 - Apr. 1984, last r. Medford, Jackson, OR) in 1930 was of Codington Co., SD, with wf. Alma L., 31. Lillian H. "Lillie," b. Apr. 1894. Roy P. (12 Feb. 1899 - 15 Je. 1966, last r. Seal Beach, Orange, CA) in 1930 was of Deuel Co., SD, with wf. Edna M., 28. There may have been another son. SD Births shows "Alores" HANSON & Carrie THOMPSON had William, b. 30 Sep. 1909, Minnehaha Co. Carrie's maiden name is listed on SD Births, as mother of Roy. In Minnehaha Co., 1920, there was a Carrie HANSON, 47, but there was no spouse listed. In Codington Co., 1930, Carrie HANSON, 57, no spouse listed. Additional details are from 1910 & 1930 censuses & Social Security Death Index. Spouses are shown, but households are not on the free database of the 1930 census, so you need an actual copy to see whether Obert & Roy had children with them then. Since Olaus was also Ole on the census, I think Claus must have appeared from a problem deciphering handwriting. If you're not in the area where Roy & Obert died, Google RAOGK for a volunteer to find obituaries. Notify Administrator about this message?
