Looking for great grandfather's death and burial place

Luther Emmett Fillinger, my husbands great grandfather was born in 1868 in Grape Grove, Ray County, Missouri and died unknown. Luther had twin sister that died at the age of almost 1. He was a harness maker by trade.

Other places he was known to have lived was Chillicothe, Livingston county, Missouri in 1880; Louisiana, Pike county, Missouri; Carthage, Jasper county, Missouri in 1900; Washoe county, Nevada in 1910 and Sioux Falls, Minnihaha county, South Dakota in 1920.

His children Jasper Ambrose Fillinger and Luther Emmett Fillinger Jr., last saw him in abt. 1930-31, when he came to Independence, Missouri for a visit with his family.

His family never saw or heard from him again after his visit and have always wondered what happened to him. He would have been about 63 at the time of his last visit with his family.

Any help in finding where he died and is buried would be very much appreciated.

Thank You,
Donna Fillinger
