Hi Charles, Now I'm really interested in this mysterious Lee Owen Snook. Where did you get the 1952 Valley Springs death date? I found Lee on a New Orleans Passenger list dated Sept 1939. Apparently, Lee took a cruise with an Irene Phillips Snook (2nd wife?). The list has his correct birth date and Sioux Falls, SD as place of birth. It also lists his address in the States as 1911 Ridge Ave, Evanston (Cook Co), IL. Irene's date of birth is 5 Aug 1899 in Rochester, MN. So, Hazel must have died between 1930 census and 1939. I read some of the other posts about Lee, and I see you found the Lee Snook that died in IN in 1967. I found that he was Lee Omie Snook. Anyway, I also found Lee Snook's son Lee in the 1930 census at the San Diego Naval Hospital Training School. There was a Lee Snook that died in Colorado. The birthdate is a little off- 25 Nov 1914, died 13 Nov 1999 in Aurora, Arapahoe Co, CO. I read in one of the posts that there was a short obit on Lee in the Sioux Falls paper. Did I read this right? If Lee died in 1952 it should be on the SD death index. He is certainly a mystsery! Mary Notify Administrator about this message?
