I found Millard and his wife Mary listed in the 1880 census, but the census taker spelled the name Covill. They evidently followed Millard's parent to California after 1888. I believe they had one son. Named William Alanson after Millard's Uncle and father. There were two Millard Fillmore Covells so the mystery was, which one was my family. Millard and his wife are both buried in California in the same cemetery as his parents.
