I see several things that may be causing you problems in your research. In some German families all the boys were named John and all the girls were named Anna or Mary, and all except the first one went by their middle names. That is probably why Amelia's father was called both John and Frank (probably John Francis). In European languages, sometimes the ü is considered a separate letter and indexed separately. When people do not have the umlaut on their keyboards, they may substitute ue to approximate the pronunciation. Because of the way the ü looks, some people adopted the spelling Miiller. There is also a tendency to Americanize the name, so it became Miller. Anyway, you'll need to search many spellings. I don't think you will often find -eu, though. Next, the SD Births site has Rufina for Rosina. The problem there is probably that somebody used the scharfes s, which looks like a handwritten f except that the part below the line is reversed. FamilySearch pilot site has a copy of the actual 1900 census, where you can see that the name is Amelia, b. Dec. 1887. Also, note the preceding family of August MILLER & Martha [SELLIN--from SD Births, online]. You can find quite a bit of census data by Googling "1930 census," which accesses other years. Also, there's a database of the 1880 census at FamilySearch.org. You may be able to find some younger members of your family online on SSDI, the Social Security Death Index (usually those born after 1880 if they lived to about 1960).
