Shelley, thanks so much for the info. I have been cruising genealogy pages for years and have never gotten such significant info or so much in one place. You have helped me greatly. I am the g'gson of James and Bridget and g'son of Edward Rant. My wife and I are doing a business/fun trip starting tomorrow that will bring us very close to Montrose & Canistota. Are you in the area? Can we buy you a lunch or something?
