I'm sorry I didn't see your request sooner!. My great grandfather was Bert Avery, Frank's younger brother. My mother has told me stories of Bert and Frank riding riverboats together as young men! I am desparate to find out more about their mother Phoebe Catherine (Porter) who married Walcott Avery. That Porter line is descended from John Alden, but source link to Phoebe's father Mathew Porter b. 1794 in New York have not been found. Mathew's parents are Israel and Happy (Sadd) Porter from Herkimer NY.
