I am looking for the parents of Archibald Christy who was born 1833in Canada. His parents were both born in Scotland. He came to the U>S> & lived in Elk point, South Dakota Territory, where he and his wife Eliza had 7 Children: Anna 1864, Ellen 1866, John 1868, Archibald 1870, William 1872, George 1878, & Mary 1880. The family moved to Montana sometime before 1887 where their daughter Anna married my Great Grandfather John F. McHatton in Phillipsburg, Mt. There is another Archibald Christy born the same year in Canada also. The only thing I know about Archibald's wife is her name is Eliza or Elizabeth born 1838 in Canada. Her parents were both born in Scotland. I don't know where Archibald & Eliza were married or buried. If anyone can shed some light on Archibald & Eliza's parents, I would appreciate the information.
