Lisa,
Unfortunately, Emmett Sylvester is the son of Leroy Bigelow McCollum from McCollum Lake, McHenry Co., IL. My Sylvester is the son of Daniel McCollum and Jane Thatcher. The 1860 census said he was born in 1854 in OH, even though the 1880 census he said he was born in IL. I appreciate your effort. Should you come across any info about Sylvester, I would be very grateful.
