Brenneise's, from Russia

Since I began my research on the
surname BRENNEISE, I have found a wealth of info. The
BRENNEISE's from which I descend, were originally
BRENNEISEN's. They moved to the Ukraine (Russia) from
Germany in the early 1800's. According to the info
that I have, the name was changed around the mid
1800's with Georg Brenneise's generation.
Georg and Louisa (Fisher) Brenneise had several
children; Phillip Jacob Brenneise III, Kathrina,
Johonnes, Andreas, and Christina. It has been
documented that Johonnes and Andreas came to the
America's in the late 19th, and early 20th century. I
really don't know if any of the other children came,
but I do know that a large portion ofJohonnes and
Andreas' nieces and nephews came to America.
The BRENNEISE's settled in the Dakota's, homesteading
in both North, and South Dakota. It appears that
Andreas' line, and Johonnes' line somehow lost track
of one another over the years.
I must assume this is because of the religious
differences the two families had. The Andreas
BRENNEISE family were Lutherans, while the Johonnes
BRENNEISE family converted to Seventh Day Adventists.

A lot of Brenneise's from South Dakota, Johonnes
Brenneise line, did not even know that Andreas had
come to America, let alone that he had settled as
close as North Dakota.

Well, my hands are starting to get tired, so I will
end this message, but I hope to add more soon.
