Emelia Mary DOERR [IMOEHL?] (8 Aug. 1875, Festina, Winneshiek, IA - 2 Nov. 1954, d/o Helen [or Ellen?] & Wm.) 15 May 1900, Ossian, IA, where ten children were born: Catherine, Anna, Clara, Louis, Joseph, Amalia, Edward, Aloysius, Frank, & Rose. After they had moved to Presho, Helen was born, 27 Aug. 1919. On 8 Jan. 1924, the eldest daughter Catherine married Henry Wm. BRODRECHT. They had six children, Helen, Emma, Wm., Charles, Mary Ann, & Leo. After Holy Angels Church was destroyed by fire, the first wedding in the rebuilt church was of Amalia HEMESATH & Raymond BRODRECHT, 23 Nov. 1926. Amalia died 13 Mar. 1949, & son Francis d. 22 Mar. 1952. On 31 Jan. 1950, Rose HEMESATH married Raymond BRODRECHT. Herman DIEHM, s/o Peter & Rose of Galena, IL, said that, after serving in WW I, he moved to Presho because others from that vicinity had moved there, his cousin Andy BAHR, & August SCHULTZ, Henry BRODRECHT, Harry VANDARENK, Earl RITTER, Lawrence SEIGEL, & Ray WATSON. Charles (30 May 1933, Presho - 28 Oct. 1996, Presho) Mary Ann, b. 1935, m. Virgil SCHOENFELDER. Amalia HEMESATH (3 Feb. 1908, Ossian, IA - 13 Mar. 1949, Presho) m. Raymond Charles BRODRECHT (18 Sep. 1904, Guilford Twp., Jo Daviess, IL - 11 May 1978, Presho). Only child was Francis Joseph (13 July 1931 - 22 Mar. 1952). Rose HEMESATH (1917, Ossian, IA - ) m. 31 Jan. 1950, Raymond C. BRODRECHT, widower of Amalia. They had Mary Louise, who m. THOMPSON and divorced. John Raymond Donna Emilia, m. FARIS Linda Katherine.
