I sure appreciate your offer of help - boy do I need it! I'm a struggling newbie :-).

My gggrandparents moved to Lawrence county in about 1870. I'd love any references to them.

My gggrandfather George Washington GALLUP (born March 1844 in New York) and his wife Rhoda STEDHAM/STEDDUM/STIDHAM (born January 1847 in Utah).

Their children were Clarence, Percy and Blanche. Blanche was born Aug 20, 1882. All of the kids were born in Lawrence County.

Blanche married by ggrandfather Frank Martin Melton in Deadwood on Christmas day in 1909.
