CLAUDE LUCE was born in Madison, Lake County, S.D., March 6, l889, and died Oct. 29, l904, of typhoid fever, aged l5 years, 7 months and 23 days.
He greatly endeared himself to everyone by his pleasant ways, and obliging disposition. He never gave utterance to an unkind word no matter what the provocation. During his four weeks of illness he bore all his suffering patiently, never uttering a word of complaint. Our loss is his gain.
Renew my will from day to day,
Blend it with Thine and take away,
All that makes it hard to say,
"Thy will be done."
