1880 US Census Ancram Columbia County.

RueyScutt age 27 wife
Grovenorage 12 son
Williamage9 son
Johnage6 son
Carrieage5 dau
Marthaage1 dau
this was household #233
Dates are not agreeing but the writing is
clear.(I have found many census errors in
my searching),Grovenor seems to be a popular
name for Scutts as I have found another in 1880 Gallatin and at least one predating
these in Ancram Cemetery.I have made notes
on all the Scutts I come across in my looking
for my Carrie Scutt so no extra work was
involved.I believe these Scutts are of the
Schuett/Schut of the Palatines.On a copy of
a 1875 map there is an T.Scutt residing on
what is now is Route 82, north of the Village
of Ancram.Let me know if the trail is hot.
