My previous attempt to post a message to this forum did not appear, so let's try again.

My great, great-grandfather, Wilson P. Scutt, was the son of William Scutt and Azuba(h) Conner or OíConnor. He was born about 1838 in Andes, Delaware County, New York; died 29 May 1889, in Sanford, Broome County, NY; and was buried in the McClure Cemetery, McClure, Town of Sanford, NY.

Wilson P. Scutt married Asenath or Aseneth Hyzer, the daughter of Thomas Hyzer and Rachel Ferguson. She was born about 1841 in Andes, NY; died 23 Sep 1890, in Sanford, NY; and was buried in the McClure Cemetery.

Wilson and Asenath were the parents of four children:

1. William Thomas Scutt was born about 29 Mar 1866, in McClure, Town of Sanford; died 8 Sep 1935, in Sanford, NY; and was buried in the McClure Cemetery. He married Rosa or Rose Newton Cole.

2. Ida Mae or May Scutt was born 17 Jun 1868, in Hancock, Delaware County, NY; died 25 Sep 1937, at 20 Wells Avenue, Johnson City, Broome County, NY; and was buried in Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City, NY. She married Jesse Milo Fenton on 1 Sep 1886 at Sidney Center, Delaware County, NY. Jesse and Ida were my great-grandparents.

3. Arthur W. Scutt was born about 1870, and died after 25 Sep 1937. At the time of his sisterís death he was living in Johnson City, Washington County, Tennessee. His wifeís name was Liz, presumably short for Elizabeth. I donít know if this couple had any children.

4. Sidney G. Scutt was born in 1872; died 29 Oct 1943, in Sanford, NY; and was buried in the McClure Cemetery. He married Eva Kenia or Kenyon Clark.
