Scully of Rio de Janeiro
Information sought of William Scully of Tipperary, born about 1820, came to Brazil about 1850, published a book on Brazil in London 1866.Was owner and editor of the Anglo-Brazilian Times c.1870 to 1884.First marriage was to an Englishwoman, one daughter only named Grace Selina Scully, married Hon. Charles Sanders Dundas in Rio 1872.Four children by second wife named Tosta.They were Patrick Tosta, Alice America, Norah Edith and Erin Dundas.William died in Pau, france in 1884 and family seems to havemoved to London area afterwards.At any rate all four married there over 1903 to 1916.There may be descendants around still.These rather unusual names might ring a bell.Be glad to hear from you.
