Andrew Scull connected to Richard Somers?
I'm trying to track down the identity of an illegitimate ancestress' father. She was born in 1824, and her mother named as the father a "Richard Somers." Problem is, which Richard Somers?
In 1825 two men signed a $500 bond for the child's care. One was her maternal grandfather, Jeremiah Somers. The other was an Andrew Scull. (See the text of the bond agreement below.) So I'm trying to find out if there was an Andrew Scull who was connected in any way (friend, relative, war buddy) to a Richard Somers.
Any suggestions?
