husband Jerusha Scudder

The husband of Jerusha Scudder (1730-c1800) is commonly identified as either Timothy Carll (1729-1805), or Ananias Carll (1703-1750).

On Ancestry, most of the lineages give Jerusha's husband as Timothy.

In looking for sources to support one view or the other I've found a marriage record for Jerusha and Ananias showing that they were married by Ebenezer Prime in Huntington, LI.

The only documentation I've found for a marriage between Timothy and Jerusha are some fairly old genealogies---late 1800's. Those genealogies do not provide the basis for this marriage, and I'm inclined to think that they are in error, given the fact that I've got a marriage record for a Jerusha and Ananias.

However, its always possible that there were two Jerusha Scudders, one married to Ananias, and one to Timothy.

Anyone come across this problem before?
