Searching for the parents of Mary E. Scruggs, born c1824, possibly in Conecuh County or that area of Alabama. She was living there in 1850 with her husband and three children. Her maiden name was identified in an old manuscript recently found that listed her name but nothing else. Mary and her husband Joel Gilmore moved to Texas and were in Anderson County in 1860.
