Hi
I'll check my files and see if I have anything on your John Walton. I do have Stovall Scruggs on census records 1810, 1830 in Spartanburg SC along with James, Robert, Drury and Richard Scruggs. My 4th g.grandmother was Rebecca Scruggs born 1760-70 and died after 1850 in Union Co GA. Several Scruggs family members went to GA by mid 1850's. I have yet to connect my Rebecca to the right family but know she was of Cherokee descent. Let me know if you don't have access to those census records and will gladly sent you that information. Regards. Ellen at redpep@msn.com
