From my research on the Dawson family, it appears that Hannah's mother was Patience Pike (1738-1803), who married Joseph Dawson of Dobbs and Wayne County, NC, after the death of her first husband, Hannah's father, Isaac Scriven. I read that Patience and Isaac were Quakers, and that she was dismissed from the fellowship when she married Joseph, who dis not belong to it. She and Joseph had a son named Jesse Dawson.

There are others who can probably tell you more about this.

See the will of Joseph Dawson on the Wayne Cunty Archives Site.
