Florence Scribner Parsons Obituary

FLORENCE M. PARSONS COLCHESTER, Vermont - Florence Parsons, 95, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on June 4, 2009. She was born in Colchester, Vt. on Oct. 30, 1913, to Henry and Mable Scribner. Florence married Earle Parsons. She worked side by side with Earle growing vegetables on their farm. They sold their produce to local stores for many years. She was also employed by Fassett's Bakery and then IBM where she retired in 1978. Florence was a member of the North Avenue Alliance Church for more than 50 years. She enjoyed making candy, a lot of candy, and giving it away to friends and family. She loved to play cards, read, do crossword puzzles, watch the birds in her yard and swim in the pool. She leaves behind her daughter-in-law Gloria Scribner; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-greatgrandchildren, Hayley Giard, Hunter Baker, Abigail Scribner, Ryleigh & Matthew DeForge, Alexis & Arielle McCall; as well as several nieces and nephews. Also two special children in her life, Michael and Charlie Walsh. She was predeceased by her husband Earle; her son Charles Scribner; one brother; and three sisters.
