Evidence I have shows the Scribners lived near and around Cushman. There are a multitude of small cemeteries along SandTown Road. You have to look carefully in order not to pass them by. The cemeteries have a lot of different names and some Scribners are buried there. There is an old Scribner home place on Claxton Loop Road with an old cemetery behind the garden spot. An elderly gentleman lives there, his last name is Story. I don't know if he is still living. You could ask neighbors, he may be in a nursing home by now. His daughter lives across the road and down a little in a house on a hill. Maybe they can point you in the right direction.
