Your Egbert had a sister Alice who I believe (unable to prove at this stage but circumstantially looks quite likely) to have married my ggg grandfather John Howarth and therefore your Samuel Scrowcroft is also my gggg grandfather. Very interested in any information you may have on Samuel, Catherine and their children to prove or disprove this link.
