CANADIAN - Elva Scott, 75, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2008.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Church of Christ with Dr. Dean English, officiating. Burial will at a later time in Stilwell Cemetery by Hughs Funeral Home of Canadian.
Elva was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Okmulgee, Okla., to the late Lee Cragg and Beulah Lee Cragg. She attended schools around Okmulgee.
She married Elmer Scott on May 5, 1949, in Clayton, N.M. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1971.
She moved to Canadian in 2001 from Walsh, Colo. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Elmer Dwayne Scott on Nov. 30, 2000; two brothers, Phillip and Fred Cragg; and five sisters, Christine Johnson, Mary Denise, Aileen Cloud, Doris Smith and Betty Fowler.
Survivors include four sons, Jack Lee Scott of Woodward, Okla., Larry Gene Scott of Custer City, Okla., Mitchell Ray Scott and wife Patty of Moscow, Kan., and Billy Joe Scott and wife Dorothy of Stigler, Okla.; four daughters, Sandra Elaine Smithee and husband Charles and Joy Annette Tate and husband Ritchie, all of Canadian, Darla Kay Caddick and husband Don of Ulysses, Kan., and Sharon Gail Molina and husband Joe of Dumas; a brother, Bill Cragg and wife Earlene of Stilwell, Okla.; two sisters, Ruby Brown of Westville, Okla., and Louise Brown of Stilwell; 26 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-gra
