Someone out there knows this story and knows of
this family, why all of the secrecy?
John Scott alleged to have been born PA
(RE: martha Scott Smiths' death record).
Martha Ann Scott born 1848/49 Terre Haute Vigo IN
She disappears then reappears in 1867 married
to Temple Smith of Owen Co IN, daughter Charlotte
Jane born 1866-67 Boone Co IA.
Where did she d her family go circa 1850-1860?
Did she marry in Taylor Co IA (RE: marriage record located in that area 1865).
No census for 1860 with a John Scott born Pa
with a daughter Martha born IN 1848-49.
Who was Marthas' mother? Who were her siblings?
Nothing on her death record for a mothers' name
and nothing at all in Marthas' obit telling the
names of any siblings either preceeding her or
surviving her in death.
Was rumored that perhaps she was of Native
American Ancestry, nothing to prove this.
Help please as by 01 Jan 2012 I will be giving
up my internet due to not enough funds to keep
it going so need to go to our library here 1-2
times each week to check my e-mails.
