Who were the parents of James Major Scott in Searcy Co AR

James Major Scott born in June 1850 AR (according to the 1900 Searcy Co AR census) first married Sarah E Weaver (d/o Jefferson J Weaver and Eliza Coffman) aft 1870-71. Sarah died about 1889. I have these children for James M and Sarah:

James Major Scott married (#2) in 1897 to Harriet L Campbell
Williams and they had one daughter Velma Cody Scott born August 1900 Searcy Co AR (that's the baby in the picture)
Velma married Wm Erastus Renfrow about 1917. I have the following for wm and Velma's children:

Wm and Velma Scott Renfrow both died in Lubbock Texas according to my records. I hope this will be helpful to others.
I'm still not sure who James Major Scott's parents are, some say John Russell Scott, but I have never found any proof. I now have a picture of James M and Harriet and some of their children and an older lady who I think is his mother, taken about 1897-8. Anyone with more info on James Major Scott I would like to hear from you.
