John Douglas of Jedburgh - who became a Master Clock and Watch maker may have been born closer to 1760 than 1750. He may have been one of the 12 children of George Douglas (Dowglas) and Agness Oliver born between 1748 and 1768 - the John of this family was baptised in 1759 - George Douglas his father was a Gardiner in Jedburgh
