Hi Marg,

My original query has long since been resolved.

The two Rickerby's in the 1851 Hawick census were non related to my family as so:

They were leaving at Backdam Gate

Jane Rickerby Head 25yrs Dressmaker Unmarried

and

Mary Ann Rickerby Sister 22yrs Millener Unmarried

Both born in Langholm, Dumfries.

Regards,

LarryR
