John Douglas c1750/54 a Master Clockmaker & Mary Newton c1760 of Jedburgh - children born in Jedburgh - Gabriel 1784, Walter 1786, Jean 1788, Christian 1789 and John 1794. Gabriel married Elizabeth Paterson c1803 & later Margaret Anderson in Kilmarnock, Ayr in 1832. Walter a Master Clockmaker married Isabella Anderson in 1806 at Old Cumnock, Ayr - also proclaimed at Muirkirk, Jean married John Lamont in Galston in 1806, Christian married John Aitken in Galston in 1808.
