My g,g,g, grandfather George Hendry/Henry was b in 1768 at Strangeburnhead, Southdean Parish, Roxburghshire, Scotland.
He married an Elizabeth (Betty) Porteous. She was b ca 1766.
They married 14 Aug 1795 in Southdean Parish. Their marriage was listed in Oxnam Parish.
Nothing is known about her family. If you go by the naming pattern her father's name would have been George. But the naming pattern isn't 100 %.
They came to America, Argyle Co, NY in 1832.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
