Hello!
I'm a Scott from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. The progenitor of my family was James Scott of Ancrum Scotland. He was born in 1833 in Ancrum and married Elizabeth Aitken (b.1837) on March 26th 1857. James was the coachman for the Laird Estate (which I cannot find any information on)for 25 years. He came to Canada and helped found the small town of Hilton Manitoba in 1882.
Does anyone have any information of who we still might be realted to in Ancrum? Or of James' parents?
Please let me know :)
Hope this info helps someone too...
Troy Scott
