I am trying to trace my family history whose origins we believe are in or around Hawick, Scotland. My Great grandfather, Arthur Septimus (Sep) Routledge (b.1865), was the son of John Routledge and Agnes Bell. He was one of many children (more than 10 it seems), including a John, a William and a Frederick, a Kathy and a Florence, as far as we can gather from one or two letters we have found from Frederick to(his brother) my ggrandfather. The letters were from 24 Bridge Street in Hawick, Scotland. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
