Jim,

I've been chasing my Ruickbie ancestors from this time frame in Hawick and Traquair. In this venture I have found that a relative of mine, a large number of Fletcher(s) and also a number of Scott(s) emigrated to Delaware, New York in the period between the late 1790's to about 1830-ish from the Hawick area.

Perhaps a few of yours went there?
