hi once again i recently have found some more information concerning james scott of walcha son of john scott and agnes blythe.
His arrival to australia was in 1839 aboard a ship called the "mary", with wife agnes bryden and two children john aged 7 and agnes age 5.James is listed as follows
James scott aged 34 native of peebles son of john scott farmer of same place and agnes his wife.
agnes bryden daughter of james bryden shepherd
george scott certiifed his baptism and james campbell seconded minister for peebles.
Also aboard the same ship
James scott age 35 of roxburghshire son of james scott and his wife ann land steward
calling ; land steward
wife isabella wood daughter of george wood
with the following children
James scott that married ann blyth at kirktown 1804 was a land steward i have ann blyth death certifcate she died 1866 at ancrum roxburghshire.
I have the following children for this family
james 1804 to isabella wood
isabella 1807 to john gray have isabella death certifcate
died ancrum parents listed
elizabeth scott 1815 married thomas murray have her death certicate died 1894 galashiels .also thomas murray will 1852
thomas scott 1818 married catherine ross he died1890 australia catherine ross died 1858 at acrum have her death.
Now just trying to find out what happened to james 1804 that came to australia.don't know if he stayed here.
