MURRAY -John, disowned by parents c.1830

I am looking for the family of my gggrandfather John Randolph Murray born c.1810 in Scotland. He was the son of a Scottish aristocrat who owned an estate in Ireland c. 1830's. John was disowned in 1830 for marrying an Irish girl. He and his wife Jane (Harvesting) lived in Emyvale, Co. Monaghan before emigrating to Canada in 1832 with his two sons Christopher, age 2 and Harold age 6 mths (who died on voyage).
I have no idea where he originated from in Scotland but I am following a lead in regards to my gggrandfather's middle name "Randolph". I am wondering if this was a family name. I have found a record of a William Murray marrying an Isabel Randolph in the year 1317 in Roxburgh, Scotland. I know this is really playing "a wild card" but I have to try every avenue. If any Murray out there thinks there may be a connection to their family, I would be very grateful to hear from them. Thanks, Mary
