Hello,
2005 is a long time ago so I hope you get this message. I have a long list of christenings records dating back to the 1600's regarding the Currie's of Midlothian. A Peter Currie and John Currie were witnesses to the baptism of my 2xG.Grandfather Thomas Currie b. Hawthornden, Lasswade, in 1821. The baptism date was 1829.
I believe Peter & John Currie came from Inveresk, John Currie was the grandfather of Thomas who's mother was named Agnes Currie, Thomas was illegitimate.
I have more information if you want it.
