Evening John

this seems likely to be Alexander Angus in the 1841 UK Census available on Find My Past (extracted) and on Scotland's People-

First name(s)       Last name       Gender       Age       Birth year       Birth place
Alexander       Angus       Male       35       1806       Aberdeenshire, Scotland       Transcription
Ann       Angus       Female       26       1815       Aberdeenshire, Scotland       Transcription
Elizabeth       Angus       Female       3       1838       Aberdeenshire, Scotland       Transcription
James       Littlejohn       Male       67       1774       Aberdeenshire, Scotland       Transcription
Jane       Littlejohn       Female       61       1780       Aberdeenshire, Scotland       Transcription

Ages of adults over 15 were (supposed to be) rounded down to the nearest integer of 5 in that 1841 Census, so he could be just 35 up to just short of 40, thus encompassing your given Birth Date of 1802.

This may be him in the 1851 Census-

He also appears in the 1871 and 1881 Censuses, so is likely to have died from 1881 to 1891.

You should search for his Death on Scotland's People-

The Statutory Scottish Death Records started in 1855 and continuing, normally contain the names of the Deceased's parents, IF KNOWN to the Informant.

Assuming you find it in the Search Index, you can VIEW and Download a Scanned IMAGE of the full Record, immediately on-line.

There is this George Angus born in Langside, in various Censuses ("Event" column), who may be a brother or relative of Alexander-

Last name       First name       Born       Died       Event       Record set       Location
Angus       George       1801              1841       1841 England, Wales & Scotland Census       Longside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Angus       George       1802              1851       1851 England, Wales & Scotland Census       Longside, Buchan, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Angus       George       1801              1861       1861 England, Wales & Scotland Census       Longside Rora, The Parish of Longside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Angus       George       1801              1871       1871 England, Wales & Scotland Census       Longside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

He seems to have died from 1871 to 1881; and his Death Record may be worth looking at, as it may or may NOT have other family details.

Going to the LDS Family Search site, there are two possible AA Births in that period-

       Alexander Angus
Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
christening:       9 May 1802       LONGSIDE,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
father:       William Angus
mother:       Violet Dalgarno

Those parents appear to have had only one child; and as he did not show up in the Censuses, there is a fair chance that he died young - BUT NO PROOF.

Alexander Angus
Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
christening:       23 November 1805       LONGSIDE,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
father:       Alexander Angus
mother:       Mary Mitchel

Those parents seem to have had the following children-

       Mary Angus
Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
christening:       7 October 1808       LONGSIDE,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
father:       Alexander Angus
mother:       Mary Mitchel

Jean Angus
Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
christening:       12 May 1812       LONGSIDE,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
father:       Alexander Angus
mother:       Mary Mitchel

John Angus
Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
christening:       1 December 1810       LONGSIDE,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
father:       Alexander Angus
mother:       Mary Mitchel

Alexander Angus
Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
christening:       23 November 1805       LONGSIDE,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
father:       Alexander Angus
mother:       Mary Mitchel

George Angus
Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
christening:       21 June 1801       LONGSIDE,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
father:       Alexander Angus
mother:       Mary Mitchell

William Angus
Scotland, Births and Baptisms, 1564-1950
christening:       7 July 1803       LONGSIDE,ABERDEEN,SCOTLAND
father:       Alexander Angus
mother:       Mary Mitchell

You should be able to VIEW and Download Scanned IMAGES of all those Baptismal Records on Scotland's People.

there are two possibles forr the mother, Mary Mitchell or Angus in the 1841 Census, of which the first is the likely one-

Angus       Mary       1776              1841       1841 England, Wales & Scotland Census       Longside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Angus       Mary       1781              1841       1841 England, Wales & Scotland Census       Longside, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

I suspect that Mary 1776 died between 1851 and 1861.

There is a slight chance you may find a Death Record in the OPR (Old Parish Records) on SP if she died before 1855; and if she died from 1855 inclusive to 1861, you should find a Death Record.

Try searching those two sets of Death Records on SP, using BOTH Married Surname and the Maiden Surname, as both are normally used in the Scottish Records, making it easier to confirm or otherwise that you have found the correct person.
