To add to Don's comment, if Arthur has died in Scotland, the Death Record will normally have the Maiden Surname of his mother, if know to the Informant.

That may/would help to identify the record, IF he died in Scotland etc.

Scotland has a separate set of BMD records held in Edinburgh and available on the Web at-

Generally, they have more information in the details, than those for England & Wales-
