Mornin Robert

From the November 2013 News Letter sent from SCotland's People-
"
Our favourite Scottish surname of the month

MacIntyre - from Mac an t-saoir, 'son of the carpenter'. Although originally from the Hebrides, the ancestral lands of Clan MacIntyre were at Glen Noe by Loch Etive. The surname Wright, when of Scottish origin, is considered to be an anglicised form of MacIntyre. (The surname comedians among us claim that the Dunlop Clan is another - more recent - branch of this family tree, since they have been "makin' tyres" for years.)
"

I am surprised regarding "Wright", as I had thought of it being related to "wrought" as in "Wrought iron".

Alex
