You are more likely to establish contact with descendents by writing to the local paper-
On Scotland's People, there is a 1921 Marriage of a James Younie to a JANET Grant, in the "Old Aberdeen" District of Aberdeen.
If you have not already done so, you should obtain a full copy of this from GRoS Edinburgh, via the link on SP.
This will normally have the names of their respective parents, so taking you back further.
Also on SP, there is a 1991 Death Record for a Jean Grant or Younie, born about 1898.
Again get a full copy, as the INFORMANT may be a Descendent.
Going by the 1901 Census available on SP and on Find My Past, there were two JY Births in 1898, both in the District of St Machar.
Keep in mind that BMD Registration Sistricts can differ from BMD Districts.
There were 12 YOUNIE Births in Aberdeenshire in the period 1920 to 1940 inclusive (21 years).
Only one of those was in Aberdeen itself, suggesting that there may be very few Descendents; but until you have followed through ...
"192.co" has several YOUNIE results for AberdeenSHIRE, again subscribing to that site may be of use-
