Afternoon Sean

I have taken a look through the Travel & Migrations Lists on Find My past, from 1908 to 1960, when they cease, looking for any signs of your Grandfather and the Isle of Skye - Nothing.

BUT I do know that those Lists or Manifests are incomplete, as relatives of mine who travelled some time from 1910 to 1917 when a child was born in Canada, do not appear in them.

As I indicated before, probably your best course of action is to obtain the official Death Record for your grandfather, presumably from Archives Canada or similar, assuming he died there.

You really need to find out his Age at Death and/or his Year of Birth as almost an absolute requirement.

If he married in Canada or Scotland, his wife's names etc would be of use probably.

His Marriage and Death Records are likely to contain the names of his father 9your GG-Grandfather) and possibly his Mother 9Your GG-Grandmother).

If you have a reasonable idea of when he arrived in Canada, the Canadian Port Arrivals Lists may be of use.

There is little point in accessing Scotland's People until you have more Canadian information.
