Thanks Alex.

My father was born in Ontario in 1945 so one would assume he met my grandmother when she went to Ontario, or met in NEwfoundland and both went to Ontario. Both had some affiliation with the military. I have a photo of the man with a friend posing with a dog and the dog has a "HCMS" hat on, so I can probably narrow it down to the Navy, whether my grandfather was part of the Canadian Navy is a mystery....no records there of him...perhaps his friend was in the navy.

My father seems to recall visitors to the house when he was a kid from PEI and thinks they may have been montgomery's....there are a number of macneills related to Montgomerys in PEI, however we have no idea whether we are related to them or not, hence the speculation of the PEI connection.

I will search Scotland People and see what shows up. I do have a photo that I can send you in the odd chance you may be able to recognize him....just let me know..thanks. Sean
