Afternoon Stephen

Following on from Ewan's very helpful link, I have checked the 1904-1905 Post Office Directory. (Thanks, Ewan)

There is a shop listed on Page 656, probably the one you have in mind-

http://www.archive.org/stream/postofficeannual190405gla#page/656/mode/2up

Bottom-Left of Page 656

"
Watt, A., & Sons, butchers, 140 Paisley road, W
"

The final W is probably West, as there is such a location almost directly north of Nithsdale Road, across the railway line and station; and acros the more recent motorway.

About 1 mile (about 1.6Km) North, say 20 minutes walk.

Judging by StreetView, the original buildings have been demolished, replaced by apartment blocks.

Alex
