You don’t say what religious denomination Wm Stewart was but you may be able to get some information from the relevant church authorities. If he was Church of Ireland, then I’d check with Crockford’s Clerical Dictionary.

If William snr was Presbyterian (as his Scottish ancestry might indicate) then I would try the Presbyterian Historical Society in Belfast.
