Morning Jacqueline
Yes, it can be disappointing; but you have to keep in mind such aspects as WW2, when although Scotland generally was not bombed as much as south-east England, the Clyde ports were subjected to quite a few raids, because of the convoys using that estuary.
An uncle in the Royal Canadian Air Force, crossed the Atlantic 44 times, from Halifax, Baltimore and New York, on one or t'other of the two "Queens", to the Firth of Clyde, hence I knew him better in that period than any of my "local" uncles and aunts!
The town of Clydebank was so heavily bombed, that it had to be completely evacuated, population about 50,000.
Out of about 12,000 homes, only eight were untouched and about a dozen remained habitable!
About two or three days of bombing.
So in itself, more extreme than any other town in the UK.
