Alex Dow 12/31/11
I have double checked and triple checked the death date and it still say March12, 1871.....as well as the other two on the page
I can see where there can be a bit of problem with it as they state that he was 31 years old at the time of his death, but they seem to be notorious for getting their info wrong.
Yes, it doesn't work out for him being born in 1833 but there is nothing I can do to correct it.
It is more likely that the birth date is wrong, since this IS the original death certificate.
where as the birth information I am not sure WHERE I got the exact date from, but it is repeated [the year that is] on the census forms, stating it is 1833....
I think I got the full birthdate possibly from the ancestry file submitted by Gordon Meldrum....which didn't offer any source with his info, just that he had posted it.Well I should say when I found it on line it didn't offer any source, I never did go and look at the DISKS to see IF there was/were any source info on them.
Anyhow, I have proved that Andrew Dickie son of Isabella Dalgarno and William Dickie, was a GARDENER.
AND
He was married to Elizabeth McNab.
So that satisfies my curiosity on this particular person.
Again thanks for any and all help.
I am moving on.
Again Happy New Year to all.
